New Feature Spotlight: Google Calendar Integration
We are really excited to announce the brand new functionality in the Builder Prime app that let’s you synchronize your appointments and work orders with Google Calendar! Google Calendar is the most popular calendar app in the world, and now you can take advantage of having all of your Builder Prime events automatically synchronized. Now you can be even more assured that you are on the same page with the rest of your team and there is no more annoying double entry in both your Builder Prime calendar and your Google calendar.
There are two different ways you can set up your Google Calendar integration. The default way that is enabled in the Builder Prime app is to have one overall Google account where you keep all of your calendars for all of your different employees. In this scenario, simply head over to your “My Company” page under “Admin” in the main navigation menu. Click on the button to connect your Google account and follow the sign-in prompts. Make sure you select the account where you manage your different calendars for your company, and then click the button to allow Builder Prime to manage your calendars on your behalf. The next step is to select the proper Google Calendar for each of your employees that you want to synchronize with Builder Prime. So just head over to your “Workers” under “Admin” in the main navigation menu and open the different employee records that you want to sync. You will see an option to select a calendar for that employee. You will be able to select one of the calendars that you already have set up in your Google account. As long as the company calendar is shared with your employee in Google, it will show up on your employees’ Google calendars wherever they may access it from.
The other option for setting up your Google Calendar is to allow each user to connect with their own individual Google accounts, as opposed to using calendars on the company account. If you want to use this option, you just need to change the toggle in the “My Company” page under “Admin” in the main navigation. Then when each user clicks their name on the top right of the page, they will see an option to connect their Google calendar. Just follow the prompts to connect, and then select which calendar to sync by clicking again on your name on the top right of the page.
